BE PREPARED...for anything
We keep waiting for someone to stand up and lead us. But we can't ignore our personal obligation to protect & defend our nation if all other remedies fail us. Like it or not, all of us may need to stand up and be a physical presence in the face of those who threaten us in the same spirit that hundreds of thousands marched in the week following the 2016 election. You will not have permits, there will not be bandstands, speakers and refreshments will not be served. It’s not a wedding. It’s a fight for the soul of this country. Peaceful protest is a human right observed under international law.
We wish to thank everyone who enthusiastically supported holding nationwide boycotts and strike actions. Unfortunately, we never received the groundswell of support that would be necessary to result in a successful nationwide strike action in spite of Trump's continued attacks on American democracy and institutional norms including the checks and balances the separation of powers provides.
As Sarah Kendzior of twitter fame stated more than two years ago: "On Jan 20, 2017, the US will effectively become a kleptocracy, ruled by a cabinet of appointees designed to destroy the institutions they are supposed to protect." Sarah is now predicting that it will become a dynastic kleptocracy due to the growing influence of Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Donald Trump Jr.

"Kleptocracy is a government with corrupt leaders that use their power to exploit the people and natural resources of their own territory in order to extend their personal wealth and political powers" according to Wikipedia.

Trump, a tyrant and malignant narcissist exhibits all of the traits of a cult leader. That may be one explanation why his cult members, numbering in the millions, are so steadfastly standing by him in spite of policies that will hurt them too. If true, it may be more difficult for him to expand his base. We can only hope, however because so many of his supporters live in those important states that decide elections, the electoral college still poses a problem.
