EVENTS & CALLS TO ACTION

Red X Means Boycott

We’re supporting a boycott effort being undertaken by another resister extraordinaire. We think it’s a GREAT idea and it could have a BIG impact. If you are on twitter, we encourage you to follow @RedXBoycott.

Red X Means Boycott's mission is to create and unite national boycott efforts whose goal is to undermine corporate ownership of our democracy. We believe that our democracy has been ‘bought off’ by Big Corporations, Big Banks, Big Oil, and Big Pharma.  The interests of We-the-people are not being met or represented in Congress; but rather many of our Congressmen and women are representing Big Business.  We feel that we need to apply pressure on these corporations and banks by boycotting and divesting our money from them.

TRUMP VS MUELLER

SPREAD THE WORD

AND ORGANIZE

Our biggest obstacle right now is spreading the word and securing commitments from people willing to organize locally. We don't have funding, so this is truly, in every sense a grassroots effort.

Feel free to spread the word on social media. Talk to your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and others about our strike action and encourage them to visit our website and sign up.

You can also post to local online media websites; reach out to news and radio stations, local celebrities, unions and other local resistance organizations.

Please DO print flyers and distribute them on a nice day by handing them out at a busy street corner, outside of a supermarket, in malls, at big box stores or at other local events and town hall meetings. You can slip them under windshield wipers of cars in parking lots or tack them up on community billboards and in other visible locations.

Organizing Locally:

If you can organize a family or work get together or a summer bbq, you can organize a protest. Contact friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and others and ask each of them to bring a few of their friends with them and organize a get together for coffee to discuss our strike and boycott action. You may wish to print and distribute flyers. You can also discuss holding protests in support of other resistance groups actions or as an emergency response to an event like the tax bill or the removal of Robert Mueller; or ending his investigation.

At the end of the get together, exchange and record contact information and agree to meet again. Ask everyone who has attended to help to grow the group by bringing along new members to the next get together. These are grassroots efforts that can snowball if given a push.

Whether an event has triggered the need for an immediate response, or it is planned, you are ready then to gather together to protest. We encourage everyone to make their own signs from recycled materials.

If you do plan to organize, please let us know and keep us posted. We would like everyone to sign up on our website, so that we can keep them updated.

Alternate locations to meet for peaceful protest

MoveOn.org has organized "Nobody is Above the Law" rallies as an emergency response in the event that Trump obstructs Robert Mueller's investigation.

They have already scheduled rallies in 900 locations across the country.
